Josée Rioux-Walker is a dynamic and enterprising professional, widely recognized for her expertise across various domains. With a rich background in public relations and consulting, she has also held influential leadership roles within diverse corporate environments. For over fifteen years, Josée has been instrumental in driving the economic development of her region, and for nine years, she has made significant contributions to the post-secondary education sector.

Recently, Josée served as the Project Coordinator at Women in Business NB, where she skillfully utilized her knowledge and exceptional interpersonal abilities to collaborate with stakeholders, addressing systemic barriers hindering women's advancement in leadership roles.

Holding a bachelor's degree in communications and business from the University of Moncton, Josée furthered her professional development with a certificate in economic development from the University of Waterloo. Over the years, she has provided invaluable support to numerous small businesses and non for profit organizations, aiding them in achieving their goals. Additionally, Josée has dedicated substantial time to volunteer work and community development initiatives.

Josée started her stint in municipal politics in 2019 when she was elected as Councillor for the Village of Drummond. She was re-elected in 2021 as Deputy Mayor. Since January 2023, she holds the seet of Deputy Mayor for the newly formed Grand Falls Regional Municipality.

Outside her professional endeavors, Josée finds joy in her role as a proud mother of two adult children. She resides in Drummond with her husband, indulging in her passion for gardening, voracious reading, and perpetual learning.
